This product fulfills the requirements of the U.S. Federal Motor
Vehicle Safety Standard 213 and is certified for use in motor
vehicles. It is certified for use in aircraft. It is only intended for
use as a rear facing child restraint for children who weigh between
5 and 20 Ibs.
Please make sure you read and understand this information
booklet before using your Infant Restraint. Please store the booklet
in the Infant Restraint’s pocket for further use and consult it often
to make sure you are using the restraint correctly.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW EACH OF THE FOLLOWING
INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT IN YOUR CHILD STRIKING THE
VEHICLE’S INTERIOR DURING A SUDDEN STOP OR CRASH.
SECURE THIS CHILD RESTRAINT WITH A VEHICLE BELT AS
SPECIFIED IN THIS INSTRUCTION BOOKLET AND YOUR
VEHICLE’S OWNERS MANUAL.
The primary protection for occupants of a motor vehicle in a
collision is the body of the vehicle itself, and a child restraint will
not protect a child when the vehicle sustains very serious damage.
However, correctly installed restraints will substantially improve
the chances for survival in all accidents. Make sure that you
understand the correct way to use this restraint in your vehicle.
Premature infants or infants under five pounds may have difficulty
breathing when in a sitting position. Consult YOUI doctor before
using this or any child restraint with an infant under five pounds.

This Infant Restraint contains a special device that will automatically
turn off airbags ONLY in BabySmartrM equipped vehicles. Unless
this Infant Restraint is used in a vehicle equipped with a
BabySmartTM airbag deactivation system and the front passenger
airbag is off, this restraint must not be placed in the front seat
of a vehicle that has a passenger airbag. A passenger airbag will
inflate with great force in the event of an accident and can cause
serious to fatal injuries to the infant.
