Adjusting the seat width
Adjusting the width of the seat is only possible when using the
Porsche Zoom on the front passenger seat. When using the
Porsche Zoom on the rear seat, always move the side arm rests
in fully.
Before the child uses the Porsche Zoom, the seat must be adjusted
to the width of the child’s pelvis as follows:
Unlock the seat lock on the underside by opening the retaining
flap (fig. Ill, l), allowing the arm rests (fig. V,2 ) of the Porsche
Zoom to move in and out. Now adjust the arm rests to the seat
width of your child as shown in Figure V and engage the seat Jock

too tight or restrictive for the child.
After you have engaged the lock, let the child t sitting on the
seat cushion and assure you have a comfortab e but snug fit. 7
Should the adjustable arm rests become loose as time goes
dy, they can be re-adjusted. To do this, proceed as follows:
a) Open retaining flap and move the arm rests fully out.
b) Close retaining flap.
c) Carefully tighten the screws (fig. IV, 3) approx. 1 turn
clockwise. Do not over tighten the screws or you may
damage the plastic parts.
d) Now adjust the seat cushion to the width of the child’s pelvis
as described above.

WARNING!
It is possible to secure the child or Porsche Zoom in the
car incorrectly. This could cause severe injury or death if
there is an accident. Therefore please read through the
following information carefully and make sure that
- the Porsche Zoom is secured with the seat belts as
described in the instructions.

Securing the child in the Porsche Zoom on the rear seat
a) Ensure that the arm rests are adjusted fully in. Place the Porsche
Zoom on the seat and have the child sit in the Porsche Zoom.
b) Fasten the lap and shoulder belt, ensuring that the shoulder belt
portion passes over the child’s collarbone (fig. I, II).
c) The lap belt portion must pass as low as possible over the child’s
pelvis and
under
the arm rests (fig. I, 4).
For smaller children, when the belt does not pass over the collarbone,
the shoulder belt should be correctly positioned by the belt holder
clip (fig. II, 5) of the back belt. This prevents the shoulder belt from
sitting too close to the neck.
