Slow speed sewing
is done when you put your foot on
the treadle pedal and slow speed sewing is not done wh en
you press the treadle pedal lightly. In such cases, loosen
the nut 0 and adjust by turning th e bo lt 8 .

How to remove th e knife
(1)
Turn off the power switc h.
(2) Turn the pulley and place the needle at the highest position and then
remove the needle plate.
(3)
Turn the pu ll ey and place the needle at th e lowest po siti on.
(4) Tilt the ma chine head back.
(5)
Loo sen the clamping screw 0 and remove the thr ead trimming
cover 8 -
(6) Push the thread trimming sto pp er @) with your fi nger and turn the
pull ey toward yo u until the position of you may remove the screw e
w ith ease.
(7) Remove the scr ew e I kni fe ~ I spacer (3 and lower thread finger fj .
3:!~ After the knife ~ is changed, install them reverse order.
H ow to insta ll the knife
* Let th e point of the knife ~ m eet with t he needle, turn the pu ll ey
rever se ly with yo ur hand and make sure that point of the knif e ~ may
be positioned at th e axis of the needle as figure. Then tigh ten the
scr ew e for the clearance b et ween the lower t hr ead finger fj and the
knife ~ to be 3 mm.
* Make sure that the clearance between the knife ~ and lower thr ead
finger fj and that between lower thread finger fj and th e h ook is
abo ut 0.5 mm. (Eno ugh for usable thr ead to pass smoot hl y.)
* Turn the pu ll ey t owa rd you and ge t the knife ~ at it s o ri ginal position
so th at the kni fe ~ is not touch at the needle.
