p Turn the edge of the drum unit toward
you by hand while looking at the surface
of the suspected area.
DO NOT touch the drum’s surface. To
avoid print quality problems, hold the
edges of the drum unit.
q When you have found the mark on the
drum that matches the Drum Dot Check
Sheet, wipe the surface of the drum
gently with a dry cotton swab until the
mark on the surface comes off.
DO NOT clean the surface of the
photosensitive drum with a sharp object or
any liquids.
r Turn the drum unit back over.
s Put the toner cartridge firmly into the
new drum unit until you hear it lock into
place. If you put the cartridge in
correctly, the green lock lever will lift
automatically.
Make sure you put in the toner cartridge
correctly or it may separate from the drum
unit.
