Do you have a question about the Brother P-Touch 1080 and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Brother P-touch 1080/1090 is a portable label printer designed for creating custom labels for various applications. It offers a range of features for designing and printing labels with different frames, character sizes, and styles, utilizing various tape cartridge widths and colors.

Function Description:

The P-touch 1080/1090 allows users to input text using its alphanumeric keyboard and then customize the label's appearance before printing. Key functions include setting the text size (Large, Medium, Small, or Auto-adjusting to tape width), selecting from various text styles (Normal, Bold, Outline, Shadow, Italic, Italic+Bold, Italic+Outline, Italic+Shadow, and Vertical), and applying underlines or frames. The device supports two-line text printing when using 9 mm or 12 mm wide tape. It also features a DECO MODE with built-in templates for creating unique labels, and a CABLE LABELLING function for printing labels designed to wrap around cables, ideally using Brother Flexible ID tape.

The device includes a "Full/Half/Narrow" margin setting to control the spacing on both sides of the text, with "Narrow" providing the smallest margins. A "Chain Print" feature allows for creating multiple labels with different styles and formats consecutively. Users can also add the current time and date to labels, choosing from eight different formats. For convenience, the P-touch 1080/1090 can save up to nine labels for later recall, editing, or reprinting. A "Copies" function enables printing up to nine identical copies of a label.
