Function Description:

The Broyhill Thornwood High Dining Fire Pit Table is an outdoor decorative gas appliance designed to provide warmth and ambiance. It uses a propane (LP) gas cylinder as its fuel source and is intended for outdoor use only in a well-ventilated space. The table features a central fire bowl where lava rocks are placed, creating a decorative flame. A lid is provided to cover the fire bowl when not in use, and a mesh screen is included to prevent lava rocks from flying out during operation. The design incorporates a cabinet structure to house the LP gas cylinder.

Usage Features:

• Outdoor Use Only: This appliance is strictly for outdoor use in a well-ventilated area. It must not be used in a building, garage, camper, tent, car, or any other enclosed space due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
• LP Gas Cylinder: Requires a 20 lb. LP gas cylinder constructed and marked in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) specifications or CAN/CSA-B339. The cylinder must have an overfilling prevention device and a compatible connection.
• Lava Rocks: Only the included decorative lava rocks should be used. Solid fuels like wood or other materials are not to be burned in this appliance.
• Ignition: The lighting procedure involves pushing in and turning the control knob to "LOW," depressing it for 1-2 minutes until the thermocouple is hot, and then releasing. If the burner does not light, wait 5 minutes before attempting to relight.
• Flame Adjustment: The heat setting can be adjusted from LOW to HIGH using the control knob.
• Safety Venting: Do not place the appliance on grass or dirt, as this may prevent proper safety venting.
• Mesh Screen: A protective wire mesh screen (Part J) must be placed over the burner and lava rock area at all times when the fire pit is in use to prevent hot lava rock pieces from flying out.
• Lid: A lid (Part A) is provided to cover the fire bowl when the fire pit is not in use.
• Gas Connection: The gas cylinder connects to the pressure regulator. A leak check must be performed whenever the gas cylinder is replaced.
• Carbon Monoxide Hazard: The appliance produces carbon monoxide, which is odorless and can be fatal in enclosed spaces.
• Flammable Materials: Keep the appliance area clear of combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable liquids and vapors. Do not use under overhead combustible surfaces.

Maintenance Features:

• Regular Inspection: Inspect the hose assembly, burner, and gas connections prior to each use. If there is evidence of excessive abrasion, wear, or damage, parts must be replaced by appropriate manufacturer-specified parts.
• Annual Inspection: The appliance should be inspected annually by a qualified service person.
• Cleaning: The appliance area, control compartment, burner, and circulating air passageways must be kept clean. More frequent cleaning may be required as necessary.
• Burner Replacement: If the burner is damaged, it must be replaced with a manufacturer-specified part before operation.
• Storage: After use, allow at least 35 minutes for the fireplace to cool down before disconnecting and removing the gas cylinder. Store the gas cylinder in a dry, well-ventilated, and sheltered area, out of reach of children, and not in a building, garage, or any other closed area. The fireplace may be stored indoors only if the cylinder is disconnected and removed.
• Lava Rock Care: Lava rock is a natural stone and may crackle or pop due to moisture, especially during initial use or if left uncovered. Using the protective wire mesh screen is crucial. Covering the fire pit table with the metal cover plate when not in use is strongly recommended to minimize moisture absorption.
• Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as gas odor, delayed ignition, and incorrect burner flame, along with corrective measures.
• Parts Replacement: For replacement parts, contact Sunjoy Group Customer Service. Do not return the product to the store.
