Assemble the four leg posts to the four stretchers using specific hardware.
Attach the two drawer side runners to the interior of the end leg posts.
Attach the two bottom drawer runners to the cleats on the inside of the side stretchers.
Attach the two baseframe side sills "A" to the legs using specified hardware.
Attach the two baseframe end sills "B" as shown.
Attach the two slate joint support sills "C" as shown.
Attach the two slate attach cleats to each end of the baseframe.
Attach the center support sill "D" as shown.
Position the baseframe assembly to allow adequate playing clearance from walls.
Install the two drawer assemblies into the runners.
Square the baseframe and level it using shims under the legs.
Position the center slate section evenly between the slate joint supports.
Position end slate sections, check overhang, and pilot drill mounting holes.
Fasten end slate sections and level them using wooden wedges.
Fasten end slates at joints, recheck level, and shim center slate for flush fit.
Fill slate joints with putty or wax and lightly sand.
Cut cloth strips for pockets and attach gully ball receiver.
Lay the bed cloth over the slate, nap side up, with equal overhang.
Fold cloth back, apply contact adhesive to slate edge and cloth underside.
Attach cloth at corners, stretch across the table, and fold overhang underneath.
Lay bed cloth on framed slate, manage nap direction and overhang.
Tack or staple cloth securely at corners and along the sides.
Stretch cloth tightly and staple at side pocket openings.
Place cloth on rail, leaving overhang, and tap featherstrip down.
Pull cloth at rail ends and trim excess cloth along featherstrip.
Fold cloth down over the rail front and tap featherstrip flush.
Fold cloth over mitred edge at corner pockets, stretching and stapling.
Staple cloth at pocket facing, secure end rails, and trim excess.
Position rail plates at the junction of end and side rails.
Position rails upside down and butt side rails tightly together.
Attach tie plates to rails and square corners with a carpenter's square.
Fasten tie plates with screws and thread machine studs into rails.
Assemble brackets to apron corners and apron corners to end aprons.
Position aprons and attach them to rails using screws and washers.
Carefully turn the rail and apron assembly over and lower it onto the slate.
Align machine studs with slate holes and fasten aprons with nuts and washers.
Position side and corner pockets and apply bed spots for adhesion.
