How to troubleshoot when one Brunswick Game machine does not run?
    • B
      Bryan JenkinsAug 22, 2025
If one Brunswick Game machine isn't running, first ensure the motor stop switches on the Pinsetter for the non-running motor are turned ON. Then, check the stringpin controller LCD display for any reported errors and confirm all electrical cables are properly installed. Also, check that the de-tangle switch (under the cover at the front of the right hand pinsetter side frame) is in the closed position. Finally, make sure the ā€œVā€ belt for the drive motor is not off the pulley or broken.

Why doesn't my Brunswick Game machine stop after completing a cycle?
    • D
      Duane HallAug 26, 2025
If your Brunswick Game machine continues running after a cycle, check that the pinsetter ball detect is clean and properly adjusted. Also, inspect the magnet on the Pin Motion Interface to verify it is not stuck in line with the reed switch. Check the Reset switch on the ball rack for proper operation. Finally, check the Home Switch for proper operation and replace it if needed.

What to do if my Brunswick Game machine starts and stops when lifting pins?
    • N
      nicole64Aug 27, 2025
If your Brunswick Game machine starts and stops when attempting to lift pins, ensure that no pins or strings are caught or restricted from moving freely. Also, check whether one or more pin strings have excessive spring tension, or if there's improper spring tension on the pinsetter motor. Verify that any replacement string has been properly installed. Observe the de-tangle switch to see if its actuator is functioning improperly and check the de-tangle switch wiring.

Why does my Brunswick Game pinsetter respot fallen pins when the scorer is correct?
    • K
      Kerry SmithSep 6, 2025
If your Brunswick Game pinsetter respots one or more fallen pins while the scorer scores correctly, check to see that the solenoid that locks knocked over pins in the up position is functioning. Also, ensure that all pins are properly routed and free to move.

What to do if the brake in the PMI of my Brunswick Game doesn't release?
    • C
      Carl MillerSep 9, 2025
If the brake in the PMI of your Brunswick Game does not release, verify that after the first ball, the pin has a gap of approximately 80 mm from the centering cone. Open the string break manually and adjust the string tension (increase the length of the string). Ensure that the string of the affected pin moves freely and that the string brake solenoid is not constantly actuated.

How do I isolate a malfunction in my Brunswick Game machine?
    • D
      David SotoSep 12, 2025
To determine if the problem is in the electrical box or with the machine, exchange the electrical slide out tray with those of a pair that are working properly. If the problem follows the electrical boxes, exchange the control unit boxes. This should allow you to determine which of the boxes is causing the problem.
