POWER CONSIDERATIONS
Ingeneral,ifyourBCD-1discplayerhasathreepronggroundedlinecordyoucanavoidlocalgroundloopswhichcouldcausehumor
noiseinthesystembypluggingitslinecordintothesamewalloutletnexttothediscplayerandpoweramp.
FUSES & ELECTRICAL SAFETY
TheBCD-1containsasinglefuselocatedinsidetheunit.IFitshouldbecomenecessarytoreplacethisfusewerecommendthatyou
seektheassistanceofqualiedservicepersonnel.Ifyoudecidetochangethefuseyourselfweadvisethefollowing:
 1st)TurnofftheBCD-1
 2nd)DisconnectALLcablesfromtherearoftheBCD-1,especiallythepowercord.
 3rd)Removethe10screwssecuringthetopcovertoremovethetopcoverpanel
 4th)Locatethe5x20mmglassfuseontheCD1-PMcircuitboard(neartheIECpowerinlet)oftheBCD-1.Replaceablown
fuseonlywiththesametypeandvalueoffuse.Allfusesarerated250V

catedontherearpanel.ToenablethisfeaturetheBCD-1mustbeprogrammedviatheinfra-red(IR)remotecontrolusingcode241.

FRONT PANEL FEATURES & CONTROLS:
1: ALPHA-NUMERIC DISPLAY(2linesof16characters).Whenthisdisplayislit,theunitisON.
2: INFRA-RED SENSORforremotecontrol.
3: STANDBY LED INDICATOR:Whenlitredtheunitisonstandby.IfneitherthisLEDnorthealpha-numericdisplayisillumi-
nated,thethenthereisnopowerenteringtheunitortheinternalfuseisblown.
4: OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON:Pushoncetoopendiscdrawer,pushagaintoclose.
5: MAIN OPERATING CONTROLS:
 PREVIOUS: Movetotheprevioustrack.
 NEXT: Movetothenexttrack.
 STOP: Stopplayingdisc.Pressing“play”againwillreturntothebeginningofthersttrack.
 PAUSE: Stopplayingdiscwhileretainingthecurrentposition.PressPauseagaintoresumeplay.
 PLAY: Playthedisc.PressingPlaywhenthediscisalreadyplayingwillcausetheBCD-1toreplaythediscfromthe
beginningofthersttrack.
6: POWER ON/OFF BUTTON. Togglesthepoweronandoff.ThisbuttonwillnotfunctioniftheExternalTriggerfunctionhas
