Problem Solution
Will not switch on. Recharge batteries or
replace if alkaline.
No transmission. TALK button not pressed.
If VOX is active adjust level
of sensitivity.
No reception. Out of range.
Confirm radios have same
channel and subchannel
settings.
TALK button is accidentally
being pressed.
Buttons not functioning. Is lock switched on?
Your speech sounds distorted Make sure you are not talking
at receiving end. too closely to the microphone.
Poor reception. The range is dependant on
environment and terrain.
Interference from other users. Change your channel or
subchannel.
Your settings have been lost. New alkaline batteries must
be inserted within 5 minutes of
the old ones being removed.
