Connect the LinkStation power cord and Ethernet cable to a power outlet and network.
Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a hub, switch, router, or PC.
Turn on the LinkStation by pressing the power button until the Power LED flashes.
Insert CD and launch 'easysetup.exe' to start the Link Navigator setup process.
Launch the IP Configuration Utility to scan and identify the LinkStation on the network.
Assign an IP address and set an administrator password for web-based configuration.
Set IP address, subnet mask, and gateway for network communication.
Create and manage shared folders with access control via groups and users.
Schedule and perform disk backups to USB, and restore data from backup archives.
