Removal & Installation
Remove right sound insulator. Remove DIM from bracket by releasing tab behind module. Disconnect electrical
connectors. To install, reverse removal procedure.
GENERATOR
Removal & Installation
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove drive belt. Remove fuel injection sight shield. Remove generator
brace. Remove nut retaining positive battery cable to generator BAT terminal. Disconnect generator electrical
connector. Remove mounting bolts. Remove generator. To install, reverse removal procedure.

WARNING: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems
may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer
systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN
PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting
battery.
NOTE: Record personalization settings to transfer to new module. Program new DIM
prior to installation. See BODY CONTROL MODULES - BONNEVILLE &
LESABRE article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
NOTE: All generators are serviced by replacement only.
