Maintenance
– The cap shell should be checked each day before wearing to ensure that there are no major surface
defects such as crazing, cracks, deep scour marks, discoloration, or dents to the inner (LDPE) shell.
Particular attention should be given to the adjustment strap which guarantees secure attachment
upon impact. Any defects to the cap, adjustment strap, or the inner (LDPE) protective shell must result
in immediate disposal and total cap replacement.
– For optimum performance, ensure both the outer cap and inner shell are correctly maintained,
cleaned, and free from defects.
– Do not apply tape, paint, solvents, adhesives, or self adhesive labels to the shell. Any such
applications may reduce the effectiveness of the cap.
– Clean the (LDPE) shell with a mild soap and warm water only. The cap material should be brushed or
wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not use laundry detergents.
