What to do if the refrigerator doesn't switch on in 230 V mode in Burstner Caravans?
    • G
      gwilliamsAug 2, 2025
If your refrigerator isn't working on 230V, first ensure the power supply is connected. Check and switch on the 230V automatic circuit breaker. If the operating voltage is too low, have the power supply checked by a specialist. Also, inspect the fuse on the power supply unit and replace it if defective. Clean any oxidation or contamination from the plug and socket contacts, and apply contact spray. If there's water in the plug or socket causing a short circuit, dry them out and use contact spray. Finally, check for and reconnect any cable interruptions at the plug or socket.

Why is the interior lighting not working in my Burstner Caravan?
    • M
      millerdonnaAug 6, 2025
If the interior lighting in your Burstner Caravan isn't working, the issue might stem from several causes. The LED lamp or cable could be defective (in this case, contact customer service). Alternatively, the fuse on the transformer/rectifier might be defective and needs replacement. Check if the 230 V automatic circuit breaker has triggered and switch it back on. Inspect the jumbo flat fuse (40 A) on the starter or living area battery and replace it if necessary. If the charger module in the transformer/rectifier is defective, contact customer service.

Ensure that the water tank is not empty by replenishing the drinking water. Check that the drain cock is closed properly. Verify that the 12 V power supply is switched on. Inspect the fuse of the water pump and replace it if it is defective. If the water pump is defective, have it exchanged.

Charge the starter or living area battery if it's not charged. Charge the living area battery if it's discharged. Replace the jumbo flat fuse (40 A) on the living area battery if defective. If there's no gas in your Burstner Caravan, start by checking if the gas bottle is empty and change it if necessary. Ensure that the gas isolator tap and the regulator tap on the gas bottle are open. If the external temperature is too low (-42 °C for propane gas, 0 °C for butane gas), wait for warmer temperatures. If the built-in appliance is defective, contact customer service.

What to do if the heater does not ignite in Burstner Caravans?
    • T
      Todd SmithAug 23, 2025
If the heater in your Burstner Caravan fails to ignite, it could be due to a defective temperature sensor on the operating unit or remote sensor. In this case, pull out the plug on the operating unit to allow the heater to work without the thermostat, and then contact customer service as soon as possible. If the internal temperature is below 8 °C, increase the inside temperature. If the fan wheel is soiled, contact the Truma service department.

What causes changes in the taste or odor of water in Burstner CityCar 2016 Caravans, and what should I do?
    • R
      Ryan ReidAug 27, 2025
Changes in the taste or odor of water in your Burstner Caravan may be due to deposits in the water tank and/or water-carrying components, in which case you should clean the water system mechanically and chemically, then disinfect and rinse copiously with drinking water. If fuel was mistakenly filled into the water tank, follow the same cleaning procedure and if it is not successful, contact a specialist workshop. The problem may also be caused by microbiological deposits in the water system, in which case you should clean the water system mechanically and chemically, then disinfect and rinse copiously with drinking water.
