Disc Replacement
Reinstalling Disc Assemblies:
ALWAYS REPLACE BLADES AND BLADE FASTENERS IN PAIRS TO MAINTAIN
BALANCE. VIBRATION MAY LEAD TO COMPONENT FAILURE.
The oval disks are splined to a shaft and have to be
positioned so that the main axle is at right angles
with next to it. (Mnt-DM-0001)
The knives are fastened by means of a special self-
tapping screw and an M12 nut (Mnt-DM-0002). The
nut must be tightened with a 16kgm (116 ft/lbs.)
torque.
Cupped washer 1 (Mnt-DM-0003) must be mounted
with its concavity facing downwards. The self-
locking nut 2 must be tightened with a torque
wrench set at 32 kgm (236 ft/lbs.) The six screws
must be tightened with a torque wrench set at 70-80
Nm (52 ft/lbs.) torque.
Pay attention to the direction of disk rotation. Worn
knives can be replace by carefully looking at (Mnt-
DM-0001). (A is the work moving direction). The
second blade (if in good condition) can be used by
putting it back turned up-side-down at the same
side of the disk.
