REPLACEMENT
OF
STYLUS
A
modern lightweight pick-up
is a
sensitive instrument
and
must
be
handled very carefully
to
avoid
damage.
A
sapphire stylus
has a
long
life
if
used
carefully.
Only records
in
good condition with clean, dust-free surfaces should
be
used
since
worn surfaces
may
damage
the
stylus.
A
worn
or
damaged
stylus
causes harsh reproduction
and
increased surface noise
and
should
be
replaced
immediately.
