Overview

The Bushnell® 2000 Rechargeable Flashlight is a versatile lighting device designed for both intense illumination and soft, close-up lighting. It features a durable aluminum body and an LED light source that is designed to last a lifetime, eliminating the need for replacement.

Function Description:

The primary function of this flashlight is to provide portable illumination. It offers two main lighting modes: High and Low. The High mode is designed for flooding an area with an intense, bright light, making it suitable for situations requiring maximum visibility. The Low mode provides a non-glaring, soft light, ideal for close-up illumination where excessive brightness might be disruptive or unnecessary. The flashlight is powered by a lithium-ion battery, which is rechargeable via a standard USB connection.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Light Source: Lifetime LED, no replacement needed.
  • Battery Type: Lithium-ion, rechargeable.
  • Charging Interface: Micro-USB input port.
  • Charging Time: Approximately 8 hours for a full recharge when using a USB wall adapter. Charging via a computer USB port may take longer.
  • Body Material: Aluminum.
  • Operating Temperature: The aluminum body may become very warm during continuous use, which is considered normal.

Usage Features:

The Bushnell® 2000 Rechargeable Flashlight offers flexible operation through its Button Switch, allowing users to choose between Momentary-On and Constant-On settings.

Charging the Device:

  1. Access the Input Port: A moveable collar needs to be pushed up to reveal the micro-USB input port.
  2. Connect USB Cable: Insert the micro-USB plug into the flashlight's input port.
  3. Power Source: Plug the other end of the USB cord into any standard USB outlet, such as a computer USB port or a USB wall adapter (not included).
  4. Charging Indicator: An indicator light next to the input port will show red during charging and turn green when the battery is fully charged.
  5. Recharge Prompt: It is recommended to recharge the battery immediately when the light output becomes low.

Operating the Flashlight (Button Switch):

The Button Switch provides two distinct operational modes:

  • Momentary-On Settings:

    • High Mode: Depress the button halfway once and hold it. Releasing the button will turn the light off.
    • Low Mode: Quickly depress the button halfway twice and hold it. Releasing the button will turn the light off.
    • Default Behavior: The flashlight always defaults to High mode unless the button is cycled quickly to access other settings.
  • Constant-On Settings:

    • High Mode: Depress the button fully once until it "clicks" to turn the light on. Depress it fully a second time to "click" it off.
    • Low Mode: Depress the button fully a third time until it "clicks" to turn the light on. Depress it fully a fourth time to "click" it off.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Life: The operating time depends on whether the flashlight is used continuously or intermittently. Intermittent use extends the battery's run time.
  • LED Longevity: The LED light source is designed to last a lifetime and does not require replacement.
  • Cleaning: While not explicitly detailed, general care for electronic devices would apply, such as keeping the device clean and dry.

Important Warnings and Safety Information:

  • Disassembly: Do not disassemble the product.
  • Battery Damage: Do not charge the battery if the product or battery is cracked or damaged.
  • Battery Handling: Do not short the terminals, crush, heat above 140°F (60°C), throw into a fire, or incinerate the battery.
  • Recycling: Please recycle the product responsibly.
  • Heat During Use: It is normal for the flashlight's aluminum body to become very warm during continuous use.
