Why Cabela's Grill digital control center has no power?
    • T
      toddsummersAug 17, 2025
If the digital control center on your Cabela's Grill isn't lighting up, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the grill is properly connected to a working power source and that the breaker hasn't tripped. Also, check that the GFCI is a minimum 10 Amp service. Make sure all wire connections are firmly connected and dry. It may be as simple as pressing the power button, and holding it for two seconds. If that doesn't work, the fuse on the control board might be blown, remove the hopper access panel and check the fuse for a broken or blackened wire, and replace if necessary. In some cases, the GFCI outlet may have been tripped. If none of these steps work, the digital control center may be faulty and needs replacement.

What to do if Cabela's PRO fire in burn pot will not light?
    • C
      cainmichaelAug 20, 2025
If the fire in the burn pot of your Cabela's Grill won't light, it could be due to a few reasons. The auger might not be primed, especially if it's the first time using the grill or the hopper was completely emptied. In this case, you need to follow the Hopper Priming Procedure. Another cause could be a jammed auger motor. Inspect the auger tube for any visible damage or pellet jams. If nothing is visible, inspect the auger motor through the hopper access panel, to ensure the auger motor bracket is not damaged. Finally, the igniter itself might have failed. Visually confirm if the igniter is working by placing your hand above the burn pot and feeling for heat. If not, follow the Manual Start-up Procedure.

Why Cabela's Grill will not maintain stable temperature?
    • D
      Darrell SmithAug 23, 2025
If your Cabela's Grill isn't maintaining a stable temperature, several factors could be responsible. First, check the burn pot for ash build-up or obstructions, and ensure the fan is working properly with no blockage in the air intake. Also, check the auger motor to confirm operation, and ensure there is no blockage in the auger tube. Next, ensure you're using sufficient, good-quality fuel and that there are no obstructions in the feed system. Finally, inspect the grill temperature probe and clean it if dirty. After checking these start the grill, set temperature to SMOKE and wait for 10 minutes. Check that the flame produced is bright and vibrant.

    • S
      Stephen MuellerAug 26, 2025
The "Er1" error code on your Cabela's Grill indicates that the temperature probe isn't making a connection. Check the grill probe for any visible damage. Also, unplug the unit and remove the hopper access panel to locate the black wires of the temperature probe. Disconnect the spade connectors, then reconnect until it clicks. Additionally, ensure the probe wire connections are firmly connected and correctly connected to the digital control board.

Why Cabela's Grill produces too much smoke?
    • S
      Steven PattersonAug 28, 2025
Excessive or discolored smoke from your Cabela's Grill can stem from several issues. Start by checking for grease build-up. Also, the wood pellets might be moist or of poor quality, remove moist wood pellets from hopper and replace with dry ones. Another potential cause is a blocked burn grate, clear burn pot of moist wood pellets. Finally, ensure the fan has sufficient air intake and isn't blocked.

How to prevent flare ups on Cabela's PRO Grill?
    • R
      Ronnie HoustonAug 31, 2025
Frequent flare-ups on your Cabela's Grill can often be reduced by attempting to cook at a lower temperature, because grease has a flash point. Also, check for grease build-up and clean if necessary. If you're cooking with the flame broiler open, try closing it for indirect flame cooking.

    • V
      vpayneSep 8, 2025

How to change temperature units on Cabela's PRO Grill?
    • R
      Raymond DudleySep 12, 2025
If the LCD display on your Cabela's Grill has the wrong readout, the temperature setting switch might not be set correctly to read ºC or ºF. Disconnect the unit from the power source. Remove the hopper access panel to access the back of the Digital Control Center. Use a small flashlight to find the temperature setting switch, located near the center of the back of the Digital Control Center. Flip the switch to ºC (Celsius) or to ºF (Fahrenheit), as preferred. Replace hopper access panel.
