What to do if my Cactus Transceiver flash keeps misfiring?
    • J
      john92Aug 5, 2025
If the Cactus Transceiver flash misfires, first, adjust the hot shoe contact tightness and clean the hot shoe contacts with a clean cloth. Radio interference could also be the issue, so try setting both transceivers to another channel or changing the setup location. If the transceivers are too close, select in the working range sub-menu. Also, the optical trigger may be switched on and triggered by unexpected ambient light, so switch it off.

Why is my Cactus Transceiver not triggering the flash or releasing the shutter?
    • J
      Joseph FlowersAug 11, 2025
If your Cactus Transceiver is not triggering the flash or releasing the shutter, try these steps: First, replace the batteries on both the TX and RX units to ensure sufficient power. Next, check and adjust the hot shoe contact and clean the contacts with a clean cloth. Make sure that both transceivers are set to the same channel and that the group assigned to the RX is activated on the TX. If there is background radio interference, set both transceivers to another channel or change the setup location. Ensure the transceivers are within 100m (328 ft) of each other, and if they are too close, select in the working range sub-menu. Finally, ensure that an appropriate shutter release cable is used.

What to do if Flash Profile Learning Fails on Cactus Transceiver?
    • K
      katrina96Aug 18, 2025
If flash profile learning fails on your Cactus Transceiver, replace the batteries of the flash if they are depleted and producing unstable power output. Position the V6 II and the flash facing a white wall at a distance of 1 meter, using a light stand or tripod to fix the position. Try performing the flash learning in an enclosed space with low and stable ambient light.

How to fix wrong flash power fired by Cactus Transceiver?
    • J
      Joy BrennanAug 25, 2025
If the Cactus Transceiver fires the wrong flash power, ensure that only one TX is controlling the RXs flash power by setting all transceivers to another channel. If the flash profile does not match the flash model, choose the correct flash profile or learn a new one. Also, check that the flash is in TTL mode, not M mode. Finally, verify and reset the EV offset of the group concerned if a wrong EV offset has been set in the absolute power mode.

    Frank ConradAug 29, 2025
Why is my Cactus Transceiver having slow synchronization (delayed flash)?
    • E
      Eric GoodwinAug 29, 2025
If your Cactus Transceiver experiences slow synchronization or delayed flash, first, turn off the delay timer or adjust it to the correct sync time. If the battery power is insufficient, replace the batteries and retry.
