ISOFIX
To facilitate fitting a child seat, your car has
ISOFIX attachment points. ISOFIX is a car
industry standard for the fitting of child
seats. There are ISOFIX attachment points
in the outer rear seats.
The attachments consist of two anchorages
for each child seat. They are only to be
used together with special child seats. The
attachment points are located between the
seat cushion and backrest. There is a mark
above each attachment point to make it
easier to find.
Fitting an ISOFIX child seat
1 Place the child seat on the seat cushion.
2 Slide the attachments on the child seat
in between the seat cushion and back-
rest.
3 Press the attachments on the child seat
down onto the seat.
4 Press the child seat in towards the
attachment points to lock it in position.
5 Pull the child seat to check that it is
securely positioned and that both
attachment points on the child seat are
securely engaged with the ISOFIX
brackets.
Only use the belt supplied with the ISOFIX
seat.
Always follow the installation instructions
supplied with the ISOFIX seat.
The availability of child seats designed for
the ISOFIX system can be limited.
The illustration shows ISOFIX attachment points. The centre head restraint is an option.
