inside the instrument may retain a charge even if the instrument is
disconnected from its source of supply.
Not for Critical Applications
This probe is not authorized for use in contact with the human body or
for use as a component in a life-support device or system.
Do Not Substitute Parts
Do not install substitute parts or perform any unauthorized modication
to the instrument.
Only Qualied Personnel
Only qualied personnel should use this probe. This differential
voltage probe is designed to be used by personnel who are trained,
experienced, or otherwise qualied to recognize hazardous situations
and who are trained in the safety precautions necessary to avoid
possible injury when using such a device.
Observe Maximum Working Voltage
Do not apply to the input any potential that exceeds the maximum
voltage rating of the probe. See Electrical Specications, page 8.
Use Proper Power Source
Do not operate this probe from a power source that applies more than
the voltage specied.
Must be Grounded
Always properly ground the probe with the probe’s ground lead alligator
clip before contacting high voltage circuits with the probe tip. Always
disconnect the probe tip from high voltage circuits before disconnecting
the ground lead. Do not connect the probe ground lead to any point
which is at a potential other than earth ground. Use only on test
equipment where the chassis or return lead is properly grounded.
CAT I Usage Only
This probe is intended for use in measurement Category I (CAT I). Dot
not use for measurements on mains circuits. This probe is not intended
for usage within Measurement Categories II, III, & IV.
Finger Guard
Keep ngers behind the probe’s nger guard during use.
