The CallToU Caregiver Pager System is designed to provide effective and responsive long-term care services, particularly for the elderly and those in need of home care. This system aims to enable individuals to maintain their independence and dignity in daily life, offering peace of mind to both users and caregivers. The system consists of a receiver (model CC28) and a transmitter (model BT009), working together to deliver help signals within the home.
Function Description:
The core function of the CallToU Caregiver Pager System is to allow a user to send an alert to a caregiver or family member when assistance is needed. This is achieved through a simple push-button transmitter that sends a signal to a portable receiver. The system is designed for use anywhere in the home, ensuring connected care and timely response.
Usage Features:
Receiver (CC28):
- ON/OFF Function: To power on the receiver, hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds. The display will show "00" or "--" to indicate it's powered on.
- Volume Adjustment: The receiver offers 5 levels of volume, ranging from 0-120dB. Press the volume button once to cycle through the levels. All volume settings are saved even when the device is powered off, thanks to its memory function.
- Ringtone Switch: The receiver features two ringtones: "Ding-dong" and an alarm sound. Users can switch between these ringtones using the dedicated ringtone switch button. When triggered, the receiver will ring for 90 seconds before automatically stopping. Alternatively, pressing any key on the receiver will stop the ringing.
- Vibration Function: In addition to audible alerts, the receiver can also vibrate. When triggered, it will vibrate 10 times, pause for 3 seconds, and continue this pattern for 90 seconds before stopping. Any key press on the receiver will stop the vibration. To toggle the vibration function on or off, press and hold both the "Volume" and "ON/OFF" buttons simultaneously until the sound stops.
- LED Display: The receiver has an LED display that shows numbers, indicating the paired transmitter that sent the signal. It also features light indicators for low battery status of both the transmitter and the receiver.
- Loudspeaker: An integrated loudspeaker ensures clear audible alerts.
- Portability: The receiver is a compact, portable unit designed to be easily carried by the caregiver.
Transmitter (BT009):
- SOS Push Area: The transmitter features a prominent "SOS" push area. Pressing this button sends an alert signal to the receiver.
- Light Indicator: A light indicator on the transmitter confirms that a signal has been sent.
- Back Clip: The transmitter comes with a back clip for easy attachment to clothing or other surfaces.
- Lanyard Hanger: A lanyard hanger allows the transmitter to be worn around the neck or wrist, making it readily accessible.
- Waterproof Level: The transmitter is rated IP55 waterproof, meaning it can withstand splashes of water, making it suitable for use in environments like bathrooms, though prolonged immersion is not recommended. It is suggested to install the call button on a bathroom wall.
Pairing and Multiple Device Support:
- Pre-paired: The receiver and transmitter are factory-paired, so no initial pairing is required for basic use.
- Pairing Mode: To pair new transmitters or re-pair existing ones, hold the setting button on the receiver for 5 seconds until a "Ding" sound is heard, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- Assigning Numbers: While in pairing mode, use the forward/backward buttons on the receiver to choose a unique number for the transmitter. This number will be displayed on the screen.
- Completing Pairing: Press the transmitter button once to complete the pairing. A "DingDing" sound from the receiver and the assigned number appearing on the display confirm successful pairing.
- Expandable System: The system supports expandable pairing. One receiver can work with up to 20 transmitters, and one transmitter can be paired to a specific number on the receiver. This allows for multiple users or multiple alert points within a home. Conversely, one transmitter can also be paired with multiple receivers.
Installation:
- Transmitter Installation: The transmitter can be fixed in a desired location using its back clip. The back clip can be secured with 3M tape or screws. Once the back clip is in place, the transmitter unit can be easily attached to it.
- Lanyard Mounting: The transmitter can also be worn using a lanyard. To do this, remove the back clip, slide the tip of the lanyard through the lanyard hanger, and then tie the end to secure it.
Maintenance Features:
- Low Battery Warning: The receiver provides a low battery warning by flashing red or blue. A red flash indicates the receiver's battery is low and needs changing, while a blue flash signifies that the transmitter's battery is low. This feature ensures timely battery replacement for uninterrupted service.
- Battery Replacement (Receiver): To replace the receiver's batteries, push down the back clip and use a screwdriver to remove the cover. Replace the 3AAA batteries, paying attention to the correct terminal ends, then reattach the cover and secure it with screws.
- Battery Replacement (Transmitter): For the transmitter, use a screwdriver to remove the back cover. Replace the 12V23A battery, ensuring correct terminal orientation, and then secure the cover with screws.
- Clearing All Settings: To reset the receiver to its default mode and clear all paired settings, hold the volume button for 5 seconds. The receiver will "ding" and display "01" on the screen, indicating that the clearing process is complete. If re-pairing is desired after clearing, simply follow the pairing steps again.
- Memory Function: All settings, including volume and ringtone choices, are retained even after the receiver is powered off, eliminating the need to reconfigure settings each time it's turned on.
The CallToU Caregiver Pager System is designed for ease of use and reliability, providing a crucial link between those who need care and their caregivers, fostering a sense of security and support.
