Many refrigerators use special electric heaters. This refrigerator needs
none. That's why there is no "energy-saver" switch...there's no need for it.
Warm liquid from the refrigerator's condenser is automatically
circulated around the front edge of the freezer compartment to help
keep moisture from forming on the outside of the refrigerator during
humid weather. This is why the front edges of the refrigerator cabinet
may feel slightly warm to the touch.
No Defrosting
It is not necessary to defrost the freezer or fresh food compartments.
Although your refrigerator is designed and equipped to defrost itself
automatically, some frost on packages is normal.
Automatic Energy Saver System
• Location of your refrigerator is important. Try not to locate it next to
your range, a heating vent or where the sun will shine directly on it.
• Don't open doors more often than necessary.
• Close the doors as soon as possible, particularly in hot, humid weather.
• Be sure the doors are closed tightly. Before leaving the house or retiring
for the night, check to be sure the doors haven't been left ajar
inadvertently.
• Store only those foods requiring refrigeration in your refrigerator.
• Allow warm or hot foods to cool before placing them in your
refrigerator.
• Wipe all moisture from bottles and cartons before putting them in the
refrigerator.
• Keep all foods covered to reduce moisture build-up inside the
refrigerator.
• Don't waste ice cubes by letting many melt while using only a few.
• If you turn the control to coldest position for quick chilling or freezing,
be sure to turn it back to normal setting.
• Don't overcrowd your refrigerator. Overcrowding can require extra
electrical energy to keep everything cool.
• Your refrigerator must have sufficient clearances from surrounding
cabinets to ensure proper air circulation.
• Keep condenser clean.
