It provides essential information regarding the installation, operation, and maintenance of the appliance, emphasizing safety precautions and proper usage to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Function Description:
The Candy Cooker Hood is designed to extract smoke, steam, and odors from the cooking area, improving air quality in the kitchen. It operates by drawing air through filters and expelling it either outside the room (ducted mode) or recirculating it after purification (recirculating mode, typically with charcoal filters). The hood features integrated lighting to illuminate the cooking surface.

- Models: CDG6MBGG / CDG9MBGG
- Power Supply for Lamps: 220-240V 1WX2 MAX (for LED lamps)
- Minimum Distance to Surfaces: 0.45 meters (for lids, oven cloth, etc.)
- Bulb Power: Must not exceed 1W.
- Negative Pressure in Room (with other fuel-burning appliances): Must not exceed 4 Pa (4x10⁻⁵ bar).
- Hob Elements: Intended to be installed over a hob with no more than four hob elements.
Usage Features:
The cooker hood offers multiple operational modes, controlled via push buttons:
- Light Control: A dedicated switch turns the left and right bulbs on or off. If the bulbs do not light, ensure the switch is pressed correctly.
- Fan Speed Control:
- Pressing the "low speed" push button activates the motor at a low speed, suitable for light cooking.
- Pressing the "middle speed" push button increases the motor speed to a medium level, ideal for moderate cooking.
- Pressing the "high speed" push button engages the motor at its highest speed, recommended for heavy cooking or strong odors.
- Pressing the "stop" push button turns off the motor.
- Accessible Parts: Accessible parts of the cooker hood may become hot when used with cooking appliances. Exercise caution.
- Ventilation: Ensure adequate room ventilation when the cooker hood is used simultaneously with gas or other fuel-burning appliances.
- Filter Status: Do not check the status of the filters while the cooker hood is operating.
- Light Bulb: Do not touch the light bulb within half an hour after the appliance has been used, as it may be hot.
- Open Flame: Do not light a flame under the cooker hood.
- Gasometer: Avoid opening a gasometer when there is no pan on the stove, as this can damage the filters and pose a fire hazard.
- Frying Food: Constantly monitor food frying to prevent overheated oil from splashing, which can lead to a fire hazard.
- Electrical Disconnection: Always disconnect the electrical plug prior to any maintenance.
- Air Discharge Regulations: Regulations concerning the discharge of air must be fulfilled.
- Simultaneous Operation: When the range hood and other energy-supplied appliances (other than electricity) are in simultaneous operation, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 4 Pa (4x10⁻⁵ bar).
- Damaged Supply Cord: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
- Children and Supervised Use: This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Indoor and Household Use: The appliance is intended for indoor and household use only.
- Unplug Before Cleaning: When the appliance is not in use and before cleaning, unplug it from the outlet.
- Air Discharge Warning: Observe warnings in the instruction sheet regarding appliance operation when air is discharged from the room.
- Fire Risk (Cleaning): There is a fire risk if cleaning is not carried out in accordance with the instructions.
Maintenance Features:
- Charcoal Filter Installation and Replacement:
- The charcoal filter should be replaced every 3-4 months, depending on usage, to ensure optimal performance.
- Charcoal filters are non-washable and must be replaced.
- To install a new charcoal filter, first remove the grease filter (as shown in Fig. 13).
- Important: Do not attempt to maintain or clean the extractor without first switching off the electricity supply.
- Metallic Filter Cleaning:
- It is recommended to clean the metallic filter every three months.
- Procedure:
- Remove the metallic filter from the cooker hood.
- Wash it in a solution of water and neutral liquid detergent, allowing it to soak.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water and allow to dry.
- The metallic filter can also be washed in a dishwasher.
- Note: The metallic filter may change color after several washes; this is not a defect and does not warrant replacement.
- LED Lights Replacement:
- LED lights replacement must be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Procedure:
- Remove the LED lamp using a flat-head screwdriver.
- Pull out the LED lamp and unplug its wire connector.
- Replace with a new LED lamp.
- Plug the wire connector with the new lamp.
- Push the LED lamp into the hole until it snaps into place.
- Only self-shielded lamps should be used to prevent undue hot parts, fire hazards, and UV radiation exposure.
This appliance is labeled in accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2013 (WEEE). WEEE contains both polluting substances and base elements that can be reused. It is crucial for WEEE to undergo specific treatments to correctly remove and dispose of pollutants and recover materials.
- WEEE should not be treated as domestic waste.
- WEEE should be taken to dedicated collection areas managed by the town council or a registered company.
- When purchasing a new appliance, the old one can be returned to the vendor free of charge as a one-off, provided it is of an equivalent type and has the same functions as the purchased appliance.
