This document is an instruction manual for a Candy tumble dryer, providing comprehensive information on its function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.
Function Description
The Candy tumble dryer is designed for domestic use to dry household textiles and garments. It operates by tumbling laundry in a drum, removing moisture, which is then collected in a water container. The appliance offers various drying programs tailored to different fabric types and desired dryness levels. Some models are equipped with Wi-Fi technology, allowing for remote control via a mobile application.
The drying process involves a heated cycle followed by a cool-down phase to prevent damage to items. The machine continuously monitors and adjusts the drying time based on the humidity level of the load. It also features an anti-crease movement at the end of cycles to minimize folds.

Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the appliance's efficiency and longevity.
Filter Cleaning:
- Lint Filter: Clean before every cycle. Pull upwards, open, gently remove lint with a soft brush or fingertips, snap together, and push back into place. If cleaned with water, ensure it is dry before re-inserting.
- Filter Cleaning Indicator Light: Illuminates when filter cleaning is required.
- Warning: Do not use the dryer without filters, as fluff could ignite. Clogged filters increase drying time and can cause damage.
Condenser Cleaning:
- Frequency: Regularly clean the condenser.
- Procedure:
- Remove the kickplate.
- Turn locking levers anti-clockwise and pull out the condenser.
- Pull out the condenser unit.
- Remove dust/fluff with a cloth, then wash under running tap, turning it to allow water to flow between plates.
- Check gasket position and fit into groove if misaligned.
- Refit condenser, ensuring it's in the correct way (indicated by arrow) and pushed firmly into place.
- Lock levers by turning clockwise, ensuring the condenser unit is tightly fixed to the basement.
- Refit the kickplate.
Water Container Emptying:
- Frequency: Empty after each drying cycle, or when the indicator light illuminates.
- Procedure (Door Drawer Model): Gently pull out the container by the handle, tilt to empty through the spout, then replace.
- Procedure (Bottom Water Drawer Model):
- Gently pull the bottom of the kickplate to unclip, then unhinge to remove.
- Pull firmly on the handgrip and slide the water container out.
- Support with both hands (when full, it weighs about 4 kg).
- Open the lid on top of the container and empty the water.
- Refit the lid and slide the container back into position, pushing firmly into place.
- Refit the kickplate by engaging hinges at the top and snapping lower clips into place.
- Drain Hose Kit (optional): For permanent drainage, connect the discharge kit to a drain near the dryer, eliminating the need to manually empty the water container.
General Cleaning:
- Wipe the inside of the drum and door with a damp cloth to remove dust.
- After each use, wipe the inside of the drum and leave the door open for a while to allow air circulation.
- Wipe the outside of the machine and the door with a soft cloth.
- DO NOT use abrasive pads or cleaning agents.
- Clean the inner door and gasket with a damp cloth after every drying cycle to prevent sticking or fluff buildup.
Ventilation:
- Ensure adequate ventilation in the room to prevent gases from other fuel-burning appliances from being drawn in.
- Install the rear of the appliance close to a wall or vertical surface.
- Maintain a gap of at least 12 mm between the machine and any obstructions.
- Keep inlet and outlet air clear of obstruction.
- Ensure carpets or rugs do not obstruct the base or ventilation openings.
- Prevent items from falling or collecting behind the dryer, as they may obstruct air inlet and outlet.
- Exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue used for other fuel-burning appliances.
- Regularly check for dust and lint accumulation around the dryer.
Safety Precautions:
- Always remove the plug before cleaning.
- Allow the dryer to complete the cool-down period before removing laundry, as the drum may be very hot.
- Never stop a tumble dryer before the end of the drying cycle unless items are quickly removed and spread out to dissipate heat.
