If your Canon printer is experiencing paper jams, follow these steps to remove the paper: 1. Slowly pull the paper out from the Auto Sheet Feeder, the Front Tray, or the back of the printer, whichever is easier. If the paper tears and a piece remains inside, open the Top Cover and remove it. Be careful not to touch the components inside the printer. 2. After removing all paper, close the Top Cover, turn the printer off, and then turn it back on. 3. Reload the paper into the printer and press the RESUME/CANCEL button. Ensure the Paper Guide is set correctly when printing from the Auto Sheet Feeder.

Why is my Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Printer printing so slow?
    • G
      gonzalezronaldAug 22, 2025
If your Canon printer's printing speed is slow, especially with USB 2.0, it might be because your environment isn't fully compatible with USB 2.0. The printer will operate at a lower speed (USB 1.1). To fix this: * Ensure your PC's USB port supports USB 2.0 Hi-Speed. * Verify both the USB cable and hub support USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, using a certified cable no longer than 3 meters. * Update your PC's OS to the latest version. * Ensure the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed driver operates properly by installing the latest version. Contact the makers of your computer, USB cable, or USB hub for details.

    • T
      Travis WilsonSep 1, 2025
If your Canon printer is causing the paper to curl or produce ink blots, it's likely due to the paper being too thin or the incorrect paper type being selected. To fix this: * Use thicker photo paper, such as Canon's Photo Paper Pro, for deep color prints. * On the Main tab of the printer driver, make sure the Media Type matches the loaded paper. Do the same in the Print dialog box, under Quality & Media.

Press the RESUME/CANCEL button to clear the error. 2. Check the Page Size setting in the Page Setup tab (Windows) or the Page Setup dialog box (Macintosh) in the printer driver. 3.
