Why are my Canon Digital Camera photos too dark?
If your subject is underexposed (too dark), it might be due to insufficient light. Try setting the flash on. If the subject is darker than its surroundings, adjust the exposure compensation to a positive value or use the spot metering function. Also, ensure the subject is within the flash range, not exceeding 2 m (6.7 ft.), or raise the ISO speed.
Why are my Canon PowerShot A310 photos too bright?
If your subject appears overexposed (too bright), it could be because the subject is too close to the flash; keep a distance of at least 20 cm (7.9 in.).
