The Capello CR22 Sleep & Charge is a dual alarm clock with dual USB charging capabilities, designed to provide both timekeeping and device charging functions. It comes with an AC power adapter and a user guide.

Function Description

The primary function of the CR22 is to serve as a dual alarm clock, allowing users to set two independent alarms. These alarms can be configured to wake the user with either a radio or a buzzer sound. The device also includes a sleep timer, which automatically turns off the radio after a preset duration, allowing users to fall asleep to music. Additionally, a nap timer function is available, which sounds a buzzer after a specified nap duration.

Beyond its alarm clock features, the CR22 acts as a charging hub with two USB charging ports located on the rear of the unit. These ports are designed to power and charge various devices such as iPhones, iPads, iPods, E-readers, and digital cameras, using USB cables (sold separately).

The device also functions as a radio, supporting both AM and FM bands. It includes an Aux-In connection, enabling users to play music from external audio devices like iPads, iPod shuffles, mobile phones, or MP3 players.

Usage Features

• Power Source: The CR22 is powered by an AC/DC adapter. Users insert the small end of the adapter into the DC In Jack on the rear of the unit and connect the other end to a wall outlet (100-240V AC, 50/60 Hz). The output of the provided adapter is DC 5V 2.2A. It is recommended to disconnect both ends of the power cord when not in use and to use only the supplied AC adapter.
• Backup Battery: For uninterrupted operation during power outages or when the AC adapter is disconnected, the CR22 requires two "AAA" size batteries (sold separately) for backup. These batteries maintain the clock and alarm settings in memory. The battery indicator on the display illuminates when batteries are low or absent.
• Clock Setting: To set the clock, plug in the CR22 (with power 'OFF'). Press and hold the CLOCK SET button until the display flashes. Use the TUNE DOWN / HOUR button to adjust the hour and the TUNE UP / MIN button to adjust the minute. Press CLOCK SET again to confirm. If no button is pressed for about 1 minute during setting, the process is canceled.
• Alarm Setting: To set Alarm 1, slide the ALARM 1 switch to "SET"; the display will flash. Use the TUNE DOWN / HOUR or TUNE UP / MIN buttons to set the desired alarm time. Adjust the alarm volume using the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons. Finally, slide the ALARM 1 switch to "RADIO" or "BUZZ" to activate the alarm. The alarm time will disappear, and the clock and alarm indicator will appear. Alarm 2 can be set following the same steps using the ALARM 2 switch.
• Silencing Alarms: When an alarm sounds, slide the ALARM 1 or ALARM 2 switch to the 'OFF' position to silence it. To reactivate an alarm for future use, slide the corresponding switch to "RADIO" or "BUZZ".
• Snooze Function: Pressing the SNOOZE / BRIGHTNESS button when an alarm sounds will temporarily silence it for approximately 10 minutes. Repeatedly pressing this button allows cycling through and selecting different snooze presets (10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 minutes).
• Display Brightness: With the unit 'OFF', press the SNOOZE / BRIGHTNESS button to cycle through three levels of display brightness: HIGH, MEDIUM, and LOW.
• Sleep Timer: With the unit powered 'ON', press the NAP / SLEEP button. The SLEEP icon and "15" will appear, indicating a 15-minute sleep timer. Repeatedly pressing the NAP / SLEEP button cycles through sleep time durations up to 90 minutes (15, 30, 60, 90 minutes, or OFF). Pressing the button once when active shows remaining sleep time. To cancel, press until "OFF" appears.
• Nap Timer: With the CR22 powered 'OFF', press the NAP / SLEEP button to activate the nap timer. Repeatedly pressing the button cycles through nap time presets (15, 30, 60, 90 minutes, or OFF). The buzzer sounds at the end of the nap. Pressing the button once when active shows remaining nap time. To cancel before the buzzer sounds, press until "OFF" appears.
• Radio Playback: Plug in the CR22 and power it 'ON'. Press the AM / FM / Line-In button to select FM or AM. Use TUNE UP / MIN or TUNE DOWN / HOUR buttons for manual tuning. For auto-tuning, press and hold TUNE UP / MIN or TUNE DOWN / HOUR until the display scans and stops on the next strongest station.
• Radio Presets: To save a station, tune to it, then press and hold the RADIO PRESETS button. "P" and "##" (preset number) will blink. Use TUNE UP / MIN or TUNE DOWN / HOUR to select a preset number (01-10). Press RADIO PRESETS again to confirm. To recall a preset, repeatedly press RADIO PRESETS until the desired number appears.
• Aux-In Connection: To play music from an external device, turn on the CR22 and the external device. Insert a 3.5mm audio cable (sold separately) from the external device's Line-Out/Headphone jack to the CR22's LINE-IN jack. Press the AM / FM / Line-In button to switch to AUX mode. Select music on the external device, and sound will play through the CR22 speaker.
• Volume Adjustment: Press the VOL + or VOL - button repeatedly to increase or decrease the listening level.
• Input Source Switching: With the CR22 powered 'ON', repeatedly press the AM / FM / Line-In button to cycle between AM Radio, FM Radio, or AUX IN.

Maintenance Features

• Battery Replacement: When replacing backup batteries, ensure the AC power adapter is not disconnected to prevent erasing current time, alarm, and station presets.
• Battery Precautions: Use only the specified size and type of batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Do not mix battery types or old with fresh batteries. Remove batteries if the device is not used for a long period to prevent leakage. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Environmental Considerations: Dispose of batteries properly according to environmental regulations.
• Antenna Care: Fully extend the FM wire antenna to improve reception. Keep digital music players or mobile phones away from the FM antenna to avoid interference. Do not place the FM antenna near the AC power adapter as this may lead to reception interference.
• Surge Protection: It is recommended to use a surge protector for AC connection, as lightning and power surges are not covered under warranty.
• General Safety: Do not expose the unit or AC/DC adapter to dripping or splashing water. Keep liquid-filled objects away. Ensure the AC/DC adapter is easily accessible. Avoid exposing batteries to excessive heat. Do not obstruct ventilation openings. Keep open flames away. Do not place the unit in enclosed spaces without proper ventilation.
