What to do if CareAlert SMART DIALLER says “mains power is not detected”?

  If your CareAlert Emergency Phone gives a warning voice message saying “mains power is not detected”, it could be due to a power failure, in which case you should wait until the power supply resumes. Alternatively, the AC power adapter plug may have come out of the power outlet, so ensure it is plugged back in. If neither of these solutions work, the power adapter may be faulty and need replacement.

  If the main unit of your CareAlert Emergency Phone is not responding when the “Call Button” is pressed on the remote pendant, ensure it is pressed for one second. The issue could be due to several reasons: * The pendant battery is flat and needs replacement. * The “FUNCTION” switch is not set in the “Alarm” or “Mute” position; adjust it accordingly. * The dip switch codes between the main unit and the remote controller do not match; set them to be exactly the same. * The pendant may be faulty and needs replacement.
