  If your Carefree Automobile Accessories awning isn't extending or retracting, start by checking the installation integrity using the wiring diagram to ensure all components and wiring are correctly installed and connected. Next, confirm that the vehicle battery or power source is providing 10V to 14V to the switch. You can also test the motor function by removing the outer end cap on the motor side, disconnecting the motor wires from the harness, and connecting the motor wires to a 12-14VDC power source. If the motor is defective, replace it; otherwise, continue testing. Ensure to repair any wiring issues and reconnect the wires. If the switches are defective, replace them; if the switches are good, the module is defective and needs replacement.

Why lead rail does not close correctly on my Carefree FREEDOM FREESTYLE WM Automobile Accessories?

  If the lead rail on your Carefree Automobile Accessories isn't closing correctly, it could be due to an incorrect pitch setting; correct the pitch so the arms are even. Alternatively, try overextending the awning until the fabric rolls under the roller tube using the close position of the switch. Another possible cause is the lead rail connectors being set too far or too close from the end of the lead rail. If they are too far, loosen the screw and slide the connector toward the end of the lead rail. If they are too close, loosen the screw and slide the connector away from the end of the lead rail.
