6. Carrying out the measurement
Before carrying out the measurement, please read the following
points of Chapter 5 through completely:
c) Putting on the pressure cuff
d) Important notes before measuring the blood pressure
e) Correct posture during measurement
a) Switching on the appliance and automatic inflation
of the cuff
• Press the Start button of the appliance.
• When the appliance is switched on, all the display symbols
appear for approx. one second.
• The display symbols disappear again, during display of systolic
blood pressure a blinking 0 appears.
The pressure cuff is pumped up within a few seconds.
• You will be able to see the pump pres-
sure raise in the display. After inflation
has been completed and a short stand-
still, the pressure drops gradually.
• After inflation, the
n
symbol appears to
indicate that measurement is ongoing.
Inflation of the cuff again is perfectly
harmless and normal for some users.
