      If the POWER indicator light is not lit on your Carrier Air Conditioner, check the electrical connection to ensure it is properly connected. Also, check if the automatic interrupter has switched off and reset it if necessary. Finally, inspect the fuse and replace it if it has burned out.

      If the FILTER indicator light is lit on your Carrier Air Conditioner, it means the filters need cleaning. Remove and clean the filters. For model 40BN036, move the operation switch to the OFF position for 5 seconds and then return it to the REMOTE position. For models 40BN018, 024, and 030, press the operation push button continuously for 5 seconds.

      If the various indicator lights on your Carrier Air Conditioner behave differently than expected, and you have model 40BN018, 024, or 030, press the operation push button continuously for 5 seconds. For model 40BN036, slide the operation slide switch to the OFF position for 5 seconds and return it to REMOTE. If the problem persists, restart the air conditioner.
