Error Code J3
Malfunction decision conditions
When the voltage signal that the IPM sends to the compressor is abnormal, the display LED shows “J3” and
the unit turns off.
Supposed Causes
•Faulty wiring
• Faulty IPM board
• Faulty outdoor fan assembly
• Compressor malfunction
• Faulty outdoor PCB

Check whether the
connecƟng line
between the main
board and the PFC
module is connected
lightly.
Measure whether the
voltage between
P and N is normal.
Refer to Appendix 3.

Replace the outdoor
main board.

Replace the inductance.
Replace the PFC module.
Tighten the
connecƟon.

Check whether the
PFC module’s inductance is good.
If it is, the resistance of the
two ports is 0.
No
