Your humidifier is controlled bv a manual humidifier control,
HumidiTrac TM or Thermidistat TM, installed either in the living area or in
the cold air return.

Your HumidiTracTM Control is installed in the cold air return. Duringthe
first heating season, your HumidiTracTM Control needs to be set initially to
match your home's condition. Pleasefollow these steps when adjusting
your control (refer to FigureA).
1.Turnthe dial setting knob to "5," which is within the normal range.
Duringthe next 24-48hours it may be necessary to adjust the dial
for more or tess humidity, depending on your personal comfort and
home'srequirements. Referto "TABLE1- Operation Guide".
2. During the coldest portion of the first heating season, minor
adjustments may be necessary.This is dependent upon your
individual home construction, refer to "TABLE1-Operation Guide".
Reduce the setting on the control dial
by 1increment.

Turndialto "Test," Make certain furnace
and blower are operating_ tf humidifier
still doesn't operate, consult your air
conditioning and heating dealer.
Humidifier won't shut off Turndial to "Off°" If humidifier continues to
operate, consult your air conditioning and
heating dealer.
Testmode Systemoperation is checked bysetting
the knobto "Test" Make certainfurnace and
blowerare operating. Humidifier will
operate for one minute,

The relative humidity in your home
will now be accurately controlled to
meet your needs and should not
need further adjustment during
future heating seasons_Make note

temporarily move the knob when
performing annual maintenance of
the Humidifier.
