6.2 FUEL SPEED SOLENOI D
6.2.1 Solenoid Test
WARNING
The solenoid can become very warm to the
touch when energized for any length in
time.
1. Disconnect the plug from the solenoid connector (2).
2. Remove the solenoid (1) from the engine.
3. Supply power (12VDC) to thesolenoid thruterminals
(3) and (4).
4. Iftherodinthesolenoid(1)movessmoothly(approx-
imately 0.6”), the solenoid is normal, if the rod does
not move, or moves only a fraction of that distance,
replace it.
