Mountinganddismounting
Mountanddismountthemachineonlyatdesignatedlocationsthathavehandholds,steps,orladders.
Donotjumpoffthemachine.
Makesuresteps,ladders,andplatformsremaincleanandclearofdebrisandforeignsubstances.Injurymayresult
fromslipperysurfaces.
Facethemachinewhenmountinganddismounting.
Maintainathree-pointcontactwithsteps,ladders,andhandholds.
Nevermountordismountfromamovingmachine.
Donotusethesteeringwheelorothercontrolsoraccessoriesashandholdswhenenteringorexitingthecabor
operator’splatform.
Workingatheights
Whenthenormaluseandmaintenanceofthemachinerequiresworkingatheights:

Correctlyuseinstalledsteps,ladders,andrailings.
•
Neveruseladders,steps,orrailingswhilethemachineismoving.
•
Donotstandonsurfaceswhicharenotdesignatedasstepsorplatforms.
Donotusethemachineasalift,ladder,orplatformforworkingatheights.
Spraying
•
Besuretocleanandushallresidualchemicalsfromthesprayerbeforechangingtoanothertypeofchemical.
Onsomemodels,itmaybenecessarytoremovetheendcapsfromthespraybarstothoroughlyushtheboom
plumbing.Insomecasesadecontaminationsolutionisrecommendedbythechemicalmanufacturer.

Alwaysfollowchemicalmanufacturerssafetyinstructionswhenmixingandapplyingherbicidesandchemicalsto
preventseriousharmtopeopleortheenvironment.
