Thoroughlywashthemachinebeforebringingitintotheshop.Bringingadirtymachineintotheshopmaycause
machinecomponentstobecontaminatedduringdisassembling/assembling,resultingindamagetomachinecom-
ponents,aswellasdecreasedefciencyinservicework.
•
Besuretothoroughlyunderstandalldisassembling/assemblingproceduresbeforehand,tohelpavoidincorrect
disassemblingofcomponentsaswellaspersonalinjury.
•
Checkandrecordtheitemslistedbelowtopreventproblemsfromoccurringinthefuture.
1.Themachinemodel,machineserialnumber,andhourmeterreading.
2.Reasonfordisassembly(symptoms,failedparts,andcauses).
3.Cloggingofltersandoil,waterorairleaks,ifany.
4.Capacitiesandconditionoflubricants.
5.Looseordamagedparts.
•
Preparethenecessarytoolstobeusedandtheareafordisassemblingwork.
•
Wearappropriateclothing,safetyshoes,safetyhelmet,goggles,andclotheswithlongsleeves.
•
Conrmreadyaccesstoarst-aidkitandreextinguisher,aswellasappropriateemergencypersonnelcontacts
inthecaseofamedicalaccidentorre.
•
Beforeperforminganyworkonthemachine,followlockout/tagoutproceduresbyattachinga“maintenancein
progresstag”.Thistagcanbeappliedontheleft-handcontrollever,safetyleverorcabdoor.Notifythosewith
accesstothemachinethatyouwillbeperformingthemaintenance.
Disassemblingandassemblinghydraulicequipment
•
Beforeremovinglines,releasethepressureofhydraulicoiltank,oropenthecoveronthereturnsidetotank,and
takeoutthelter.
•
Draintheoilinremovedlinesintoanappropriatecontainertopreventoilcontamination.
•
Protectopenconnectionswithplugsorcapstopreventoilfromleakinganddebrisfromcontaminatingthesystem.
•
Thoroughlycleantheoutsideofcomponentsbeforedisassembling,anddrainhydraulicoilandgearoilbeforedis-
assembly.
Disassemblinghydraulicequipment
•
Impairedperformanceandfunctionofhydraulicequipmentafterunauthorizedservicemaynotbecoveredunder
warrantybythemanufacturer.Consultyourlocaldealerforservice.
•
Ifitisunavoidablynecessarytodisassembleandmodify,itshouldbecarriedoutbyexpertsorpersonnelqualied
throughservicetraining.
•
Makematchmarkonpartsforreassembling.
•
Beforedisassembling,readinstructionsinadvance,anddetermineiftheserviceisrequiredtobeperformedbyan
authorizeddealer.
•
Useappropriatespecialtytoolsandjigsifrequired.
•
Ifpartscannotberemovedasspeciedbytheprocedure,neverforceremoval.Checkforotherfailuresthatmay
becausingbindingorinterference.
•
Inspectpartsforwearandclearance;recordthemeasuredvalues.Replacecomponentsifthevaluesfalloutside
oftherecommendedrange.
•
Ifanabnormalityisdetected,repairorreplacetheparts.
•
Whenremovingparts,useappropriatemarkingsorlabelstoensuretheycanbereinstalledinthecorrectorderand
locationwithoutconfusion.
•
Forcommonparts,payattentiontothequantityandlocationsofeachgroupofcomponents.
