withmanufacturer’sinstructionsyoumust:

Disconnectthebatteries.
•
DisconnecttheEngineControlUnit(ECU).
•
DisconnectthealternatorB+andD+terminalwires.
•
Connecttheweldingapparatusgroundcabletothecomponentonwhichtheweldingoperationistobeperformed.
Neverconnecttheweldingapparatusgroundtoacomponentofthehydraulicsystem.
