PART 3 Data Management Functions
Using the Secret function
The Secret Function ensures that yourpersonal data is kept private, but providing
you with the means to restrict access to thase who know your secret passward:
You can store Telephone Directory, Memo Mode, Schedule Keeper and-Re-
minder Mode data in the secret memory area. .
Important! oe
Once you register a password, there is no way delete it without performing the
RESET operation described on page 19. If you forget your password, you will not
be able to recall data stored in the secret memory area, and you also will not be
able ta use the Secret Function unless you perform the RESET operation. Besure
that you do not forget your password! --
To create a secret memory area
1. Enter the Telephone Directory, Memo Mode, Schedule Keeper or Reminder
Mode.
2. Press m@ to display the password input screen.

Enter the word you want fo use as your secret password.
‘You'can‘use up to 48 letters, numbers. and symbols in a password.
Press ~@) again to store the password.

Using ihe Secret function 7)
While in the secret memory area, you can change modes, input data, edit
data, recall data, and delete data using the procedures explained under each
mode in this manual.
To exit thé secret memory area fand return. to the open memory area),
press ~~).
At this time, the " mg” indicator disappears from the display.
To enter an existing secret memory area

Enter the Telephone Directory, Memo Mede, Schedule Keeper or Reminder
Mode.
Press =@) to display the password input screen,

Enter the password.
Press =@ again to enter the secret memory area for the mode you selected
in stap t above.
Ifthe password you enter in step 3 does not match the one that is registered
the massage “PASSWORD MISMATCH!" appears.
To edit an existing password

While in the secret memory area, press CLEAR, followed by “a to display
the-currently registered: password.
Press-FUNC once.-to display the first function menu,
Press 1 to select PASSWORD EDIT.
‘The password reappears on the display with the-cursor. Make any changes
in the password you want.
After editing the password, press = to stora it.
