Why is my Catalina Saber not heating properly?

  If your Catalina Hot Tub is not heating properly, there are several things you can check. First, make sure that the temperature is not set too low on the control panel. If it is, set it to a higher temperature. Ensure that the spa cover is properly positioned. Also, verify that the water level is at the correct level. Check the gate valves and ensure they are open. Clean the filter cartridge if it's dirty. If the high temperature safety switch has tripped, allow the spa to cool to below 100F and then press the “Cool” pad to reset it. If the problem persists, it may be due to improper electrical service, and you should contact your dealer.

Open and clean the air valves if they are closed or blocked. Add water to the proper level if it's low. If air is trapped in the pump, loosen the pump inlet union to release air, then tighten it securely. If these steps don't resolve the issue, it could be due to a suction or discharge line being partially plugged, improper or defective wiring, or a blocked jet, in which case you should contact your dealer.

Ensure the pump cord is plugged into the red receptacle. Also, check the GFCI and reset it if it has tripped or is in the “Off” position. If these steps don't solve the problem, it could be due to a defective start switch inside the motor, a motor overload condition (let it cool for one hour to reset automatically), a mode switch failure, or a damaged electrical cord, so you should contact your dealer.
