- Ensure that there is sucient ventilation at the location of the equipment.
- Please note that malfunctioning of the equipment may be due to loss of refrigerant and
possible refrigerant leakage.
- Discharge the capacitors in a non-sparking manner.
- Remove the refrigerant. If recovery is not required by national regulations, drain the
refrigerant outside. Take care that the drained refrigerant does not pose any danger.
In case of doubt, one person should supervise the exit. Take special care that drained
refrigerant does not re-enter the building.
- Evacuate the refrigerant circuit.
- Purge the refrigerant circuit with nitrogen for 5 min.
- Re-evacuate.
- Fill with nitrogen to atmospheric pressure.
- Place a label on the equipment indicating that the refrigerant has been removed.
Elimination

- Remove the refrigerant. If recovery is not required by national regulations, drain the
refrigerant outside. Take care that the drained refrigerant does not pose any danger.

- Switch o the compressor and drain the oil.
- Transport, marking and storage of units using ammable refrigerants. Transport of
equipment containing ammable refrigerants.
- Please note that additional transport regulations may exist with respect to equipment
containing ammable gas. The maximum number of equipment or conguration of
equipment permitted to be carried together shall be determined by the applicable
transport regulations.
Marking of equipment by means of information stickers
- Stickers for similar appliances used in a work area are generally governed by local
regulations and provide the minimum requirements for the provision of safety and/or
health signs for a workplace.
All required stickers must be maintained, and employers must ensure that employees
receive adequate and sucient instruction and training on the meaning of appropriate
safety signs and the actions to be taken in relation to such signs.
- The eectiveness of stickers should not be diminished by placing too many stickers
together. The pictograms used should be as simple as possible and contain only essential
