Maintenance
Thecondensercoilsatthebackofthecoolingunitwill collectdust,dirtandlintovertime.Itis
criticallyimportanttocleanthereusablefilterorreplacethedisposablefilterperiodically.Ifthe
condenser coils or filter become clogged, the cooling unit willnothaveproperairflowandits
performanceandlongevitywillbecompromised.
OnlyreplacethedisposablefilterwithaCellarProreplacementfilteroranequivalentfilterwitha
MERVratingof5orless.UsingapleatedorothertypefilterwithaMERVratingabove5willcause
seriousdamagetothecondenserfanandthecompressor.
Thefilterslidesouttotheleftortherightattherearofthecoolingunit.Reusablefilterscanbe
cleanedwithwarmsoapywater.Thecondensercoilsthemselvesalsocanbecleanedwithavacuum
cleaner–ideallywithabrushattachmenttoloosendustcaughtbetweenthefins.

