SAFETY OPERATION MAINTENANCESETUP
3. Use a screwdriver to release the jammed fastener
by probing the openings in the Fixed Magazine.
4. Pull out the jammed fastener and the remainder
of the fastener strip that is still in the magazine.
Dispose of the remaining fastener strip; it may
be bent or damaged in some other way.
5. If a fastener is jammed in the Drive Guide (64),
pull up on the Cover Latch (55) and lift the
Moveable Cover (56) off the Drive Guide.
6. Remove the jammed fastener; pliers maybe
necessary to remove a stuck fastener.
7. Inspect the Drive Guide for any bends or
breakage. If it is damaged, do not use the tool
until it is repaired by a qualified technician.
8. Lightly oil the Drive Guide and replace the
Moveable Cover by snapping the Quick
Release Switch back into place.
9. Make sure that the Safety Tip
moves without sticking.
10. Reload the Nailer/Stapler and then
reconnect it to the air supply.
11. Press the Safety of the Nailer/Stapler against
an appropriate piece of scrap wood.
12. Test fire the Nailer/Stapler several times,
checking for proper operation.
13. Disconnect the Nailer/Stapler, remove the fasteners,
and store in a location out of children’s reach.
14. If you are unable to clear the fastener jam using the
method prescribed above, the tool should be taken
to a qualified service technician for proper servicing.
