      If your Cerwin-Vega Subwoofer amplifier won't power up, begin by ensuring a solid ground connection. Then, verify that the battery (+) terminal receives at least 12V. Next, confirm the Remote Input (Turn-On) has a minimum of 10VDC. Check if the green power LED is illuminated, and inspect all fuses, replacing them if needed. Lastly, ensure the Protection LED isn't lit. If it is, briefly turn off the amplifier and then power cycle (reset) it.

      If the Protection LED illuminates when your Cerwin-Vega Subwoofer amplifier powers up, first lower the volume control on the head unit to avoid overloading the input speaker leads. If that doesn't work, try power cycling (resetting) the amplifier. If the Protection LED persists, the amplifier may be defective and require servicing.
