AFT VANITY - MAINTENANCE
1 General
A. The aft vanity is located in the aft portion of the cabin on the left-hand side. The vanity has toekick and
accent lighting, a water system, storage drawers, trash container and can contain electrical outlets.
The vanity water system consists of a water tank, pump, water faucet and supply lines. Remove vanity
water tank prior to vanity removal to prevent damage to cabinet or aircraft surroundings.
CAUTION: Vanity cabinets incorporate electrical components and must have electrical wire bundle(s)
properly routed and secured.
(1) Verify appropriate circuit breaker is disengaged before performing maintenance on any
electrical components or wiring.
(2) Secure and protect electrical wires to prevent fraying and contact with moving parts such as
drawers and hardware.
(3) Ensure clearance between electrical wiring and heat generating components.
(4) Ensure electrical wiring is not crushed or pinched during removal/installation of the cabinets.
(5) Ensure electrical wiring insulation is not frayed and bare wires are repaired or replaced. Wire
bundles should be properly routed using grommets, necessary clamps and tie-straps.
2 Aft Vanity Removal/Installation
A. Remove Aft Vanity.
CAUTION: Disconnect battery and remove power.
Verify appropriate circuit breaker is disengaged before performing maintenance on any
electrical components or wiring.
Secure and protect electrical wires to prevent fraying.
Ensure electrical wiring is not crushed/pinched during removal/installation.
(1) Disconnect battery and remove external power from aircraft.
(2) Turn off L BATT, R BATT and INTERIOR electrical switches, located in Electrical panel on pilot side of
instrument panel. Electrical panel is located just right of pilot’s yoke and left of center console on the
lower portion of instrument panel.
(3) Disengage CB108V AFT VANITY and CB107V LH PATH LIGHTS circuit breakers, located in Interior
J-box. The Interior J-box is located in bottom of aft bulkhead closet on right-hand side. Lift latch and
remove access panel, which is held in place with latch and magnets, to access J-box cover. With
access panel removed, press J-box cover latch to release latch and open J-box cover. Pull breakers
to disengage.
(4) Remove passenger seats to make room for vanity removal and to prevent damage to seat or vanity
during removal, refer to section 25-21-01, Passenger Seat - Maintenance Practices, in the Maintenance
Manual.
(5) Remove vanity reveal panel by first removing vanity PSU fascia panel, refer to section 25-40-02,
Passenger Service Unit - Maintenance Practices, in the Maintenance Manual. Disengage hook and
pile fasteners by pulling top of vanity reveal panel inboard, then lift panel up and out of channels on
back of vanity to remove.
(6) Remove two (2) screws securing vanity to aft divider panel. Remove right-hand vanity drawers to access
screws from inside vanity.
(7) Remove left-hand aft divider to allow room to remove vanity. Refer to section 25-24-06, Cabin
Dividers - Maintenance Practices, in the Maintenance Manual.
(8) Empty water tank and replace (Refer to Aft Vanity Water System Operation below).
(9) Remove two (2) screws securing vanity to bulkhead closet. Remove left-hand drawers to access
screws from inside vanity.
