25-40-01 Original Issue
AFT VANITY WATER SYSTEM OPERATION - MAINTENANCE
(10) Remove two (2) plugs, bolts and washers securing vanity to floorboard attach brackets and tag for
reinstallation.
(11) Move vanity inboard by first tilting top inboard, then move bottom inboard enough to disconnect
electrical wiring and remove drain hose.
(12) Tag and disconnect electrical wiring.
(13) Disconnect drain hose.
(14) Protect vanity and interior by covering before removal.
CAUTION: Two people are required to maneuver vanity from aircraft without causing damage
to vanity or other furnishings.
(15) Remove vanity from aircraft, being careful not to damage vanity or surroundings.
B. Install Aft Vanity.
(1) Position vanity in aircraft near installed position.
(2) Remove Rino-Hyde protective covering and clean as needed.
(3) Identify and connect electrical wiring.
(4) Connect water hoses.
(5) With top of vanity tilted inboard, place bottom in against sidewall, then tilt top back into position.
(6) Install (two) bolts, washers and plugs securing the closet to floorboard attach brackets.
(7) Replace left-hand aft divider. Refer to section 25-24-06, Cabin Dividers - Maintenance Practices, in the
Maintenance Manual.
(8) Replace two (2) screws securing vanity to aft divider panel and replace drawers.
(9) Replace two (2) screws securing vanity to bulkhead closet and replace drawers.
(10) Fill water tank in vanity and replace for water system testing (Refer to Aft Vanity Water System
Operation below).
(11) Replace vanity reveal panel. Tilt top of vanity reveal panel inboard while placing bottom edge of reveal
panel down and behind vanity. Press top of reveal panel outboard to engage hook and pile fasteners.
(12) Connect battery and replace external power from aircraft.
(13) Replace vanity PSU fascia. Refer to section 25-40-02, Passenger Service Unit - Maintenance Practices,
in the Maintenance Manual.
(14) Replace passenger seats. Refer to section 25-21-01, Passenger Seat - Maintenance Practices, in the
Maintenance Manual.
(15) Connect battery and replace external power to aircraft.
(16) Turn on L BATT, R BATT and INTERIOR electrical switches, located in Electrical panel on pilot side of
instrument panel. Electrical panel is located just right of pilot’s yoke and left of center console on the
lower portion of instrument panel.
(17) Engage CB108V AFT VANITY and CB107V LH PATH LIGHTS circuit breakers, located in Interior
J-box. The Interior J-box is located in bottom of aft bulkhead closet on right-hand side. Lift latch and
remove access panel, which is held in place with latch and magnets, to access J-box cover. With
access panel removed, press J-box cover latch to release latch and open J-box cover. Press breakers
in to engage.
(18) Check vanity lights and water heater for proper operation and evidence of shorting or overheating.
(19) Prime pump and check faucet for proper operation (Refer to Aft Vanity Water System Operation on next page).
3 Operations and Inspections
A. Inspect Aft Vanity.
(1) Inspect vanity for nicks, cracks, dents and security of installation.
(2) Check doors and drawers for proper operation.
(3) Check switches and controls for evidence of arcing, shorts or overheating.
(4) Check controls for proper operation.
(5) Check heated drains for security, damage and proper operation.
(6) Check plumbing for leaks or corrosion.
