part of the machine or any
attached equipment
1.4.5 High pressurized fluid
High pressurized fluid
Avoid contact with high pressure
fluids. An oil leak can produce a
high pressure fluid stream t
hat
can penetrate skin. Do not touch
the stream or use hands to locate
the leak. Search for leaks with a
piece of wood or cardboard.
Protect hands and body from the
high pressure fluids. If the spray
penetrates the skin, seek
immediate medical treatment.
Never heat by welding, soldering
or using a torch near pressurized
fluid lines or other flammable
materials.
The machine must be stopped
and cooled before checking the
fluids. Use caution when
removing the radiator cap, the
plugs, and the grease fittings or
pressure taps.
Never open pressure lines under
pressure. Release all pressure
before doing maintenance or
repairs on any pressurized
system.
