  If your Champion Portable Generator's engine won't start, here are several things to check: * Ensure there is enough fuel in the tank. If not, add fuel. * Inspect the spark plug; clean and adjust it, or replace it if necessary. * Verify the oil level and fill the crankcase to the correct level if it's low. * Make sure the generator is placed on a flat, level surface. * Check that the spark plug wire is securely attached. * Confirm the fuel valve is open. * Ensure the engine switch is in the ON position. * If the fuel is old or contaminated with water, drain it and replace it with fresh fuel. * If the engine is flooded, let the unit stand for about 10 minutes.
