      If your Chaparral Boat has low oil pressure, check and add the correct grade and viscosity oil to the crankcase, and visually inspect the engine for leaks if there is insufficient oil. Check and remove the required amount of oil if there is excessive oil in the crankcase, and determine the cause of the excess (improper filling, bad fuel pump, etc.). Change the oil and oil filter, ensuring you use the correct grade and viscosity oil if the oil is diluted or of an improper grade. Inspect all oil lines and tighten all connections as necessary if there is an oil leak in the pressure line.

      If there's sludge in the oil of your Chaparral Boat, drain and refill with the proper grade and viscosity oil if oil changes are infrequent. Replace the oil filter if it is dirty. Drain and refill if there is water in the oil. If the trouble persists, check for a cracked block, or a defective head gasket and cracked head.
