Overview

The Chefman ExacTemp™ Multifunctional Digital Air Fryer+ is a versatile kitchen appliance designed to air fry, bake, dehydrate, and roast foods. It aims to provide healthier cooking options with little to no oil, and its integrated probe thermometer ensures perfectly cooked meats without guesswork. The sleek design and multiple cooking racks make it suitable for various cooking needs and a good addition to any countertop.

Function Description:

The device operates in two primary modes: Time Cook Mode and Probe Cook Mode.

Time Cook Mode:

This mode allows users to cook food for a specified duration using three different functions: Air Fry, Bake, and Dehydrate.

  • Air Fry: This function is ideal for achieving crisp perfection with minimal oil. It offers presets for common foods like fries, chicken, fish, meat, and veggies, with default times and temperatures. The temperature range for Air Fry is 200°F (90°C) to 400°F (205°C), and the time can be set from 1 minute to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Some presets include a "Flip" reminder midway through the cooking cycle to ensure even browning.
  • Bake: This function is suitable for baking various dishes. It also includes presets for chicken, fish, veggies, and cake, with predefined times and temperatures. The temperature range for Bake is 200°F (90°C) to 400°F (205°C), and the time can be set from 1 minute to 2 hours.
  • Dehydrate: This function is used for dehydrating foods like jerky, veggies, and fruits, following specific food safety guidelines. The temperature range for Dehydrate is 95°F (35°C) to 200°F (90°C), and the time can be set from 30 minutes to 24 hours. The ROTATE button is not available for Dehydrate.

Probe Cook Mode:

This mode is designed for cooking meats, chicken, and fish to their ideal internal temperatures using the included probe thermometer. Only Air Fry and Bake functions are available in this mode. It offers presets for various doneness levels for meat (Rare, Medium-Rare, Medium, Medium-Well, Well), as well as specific settings for chicken (light and dark meat) and fish. The unit automatically stops cooking when the probe temperature reaches 5°F (2°C) below the target internal temperature, then enters a short "Rest Mode" to allow for carryover cooking, ensuring the food reaches its final target temperature without overcooking. The "REST" light blinks during this phase.

Special Functions:

  • ROTATE: This feature is used with the rotisserie spit for even cooking and is automatically selected for certain presets. It continuously rotates food 360°. It is not available for Dehydrate or Probe Cooking.
  • HI-FRY: This button becomes available partway through a cooking cycle and temporarily raises the temperature to 450°F (235°C) for 2 minutes to provide additional browning. It is not available for Dehydrate.
  • +2 MIN: This button becomes available towards the end of cooking and adds 2 more minutes to the current cooking cycle at the current temperature. It can be pressed repeatedly for additional time. For Probe Cooking, it can be pressed after the unit enters Ready Mode. It is not available for Dehydrate.
  • Oven Light: A button on the control panel allows users to turn the interior oven light on or off to check on food through the viewing window.
  • Sound Button: This button can be used to mute the unit's beeps.

Usage Features:

  • Capacitive Touch Control Panel: The device features an intuitive touch control panel for easy operation.
  • Removable Door with Viewing Window: The door allows users to monitor cooking progress without opening it, and it can be removed for easier cleaning.
  • Cool-Touch Handle: Ensures safe handling of the door during and after cooking.
  • Multiple Cooking Racks: The appliance comes with three wire cooking racks, allowing for simultaneous cooking of multiple items or larger batches.
  • Drip Tray/Baking Pan: This accessory can be used for baking or placed on the floor of the unit to catch drips for easy cleanup.
  • Rotisserie Spit with Spit Forks and Screws: Enables rotisserie-style cooking for whole chickens or larger pieces of meat, ensuring even roasting.
  • Fetch Tool: A specialized tool is provided to safely remove the hot rotisserie spit from the air fryer.
  • Integrated Probe Thermometer: The probe ensures precise internal temperature monitoring for meats, eliminating guesswork. It has a winding wheel for cord storage and an integrated storage compartment on the side of the unit.
  • Integrated Power Cord Storage: Located on the back of the unit for neat storage.
  • No Preheating Required: The air fryer cooks faster than traditional ovens, eliminating the need for preheating.
  • Automatic Sleep Mode: If not powered off, the unit automatically enters Sleep Mode after 20 minutes of inactivity. It can be woken up by opening the door or pressing START/STOP.
  • Pause Function: Opening the oven door during cooking will pause the timer, which resumes when the door is closed.
  • FLIP Light: An indicator light turns on midway through Air Fry cooking cycles as a reminder to flip food for even results.

Maintenance Features:

  • Easy Cleaning: The air fryer is designed for frequent and easy cleaning.
  • Cool-Down Requirement: The unit must be unplugged and allowed to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Exterior and Interior Cleaning: Wipe down with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Avoid getting liquid into the probe attachment port.
  • No Immersion: The main unit should never be immersed in water or placed in a dishwasher.
  • Door Cleaning: The glass on the door can be washed with dish soap and warm water. The door can be removed from its hinges for easier cleaning.
  • Accessory Cleaning: All accessories, except the probe, are top-rack dishwasher safe. The probe cord should not be immersed in water; it can be wiped clean.
  • Probe Storage: The probe can be inserted into its slot on the winding wheel, and the cord wound around the wheel to prevent kinks, then stored in the side compartment.
  • Non-Abrasive Cleaners: Only non-abrasive cleansers should be used to avoid damaging the finishes.
